I know the race is months away, but I'm feeling really psyched about it! I'm also tired. Yesterday I did some weights and swam about a 1200. I'm working on strengthening my core muscles and it's tiresome work but I'm feeling a difference!
My appetite has increased and I feel tired after workouts which were not the effects of basic cardio workouts. Now that I'm swimming (2000 today) and doing weights I feel fatigued for quite a bit of time after I workout and my recovery is taking longer. Although, I see a drastic improvement from my first attempt in the pool! I dragged for about 48 hours, not 2....so things are getting better.
Another exciting development is that I'm getting some sponsors for my fundraising. People are able to sponsor muscle groups/body parts and can buy a phone call from a mile marker or a specific landmark along the route. People seem to like those ideas!
Tomorrow is my rest day but I'll be walking a 5K with some girlfriends in Salisbury. It's to raise money for March of Dimes and it should be nice - I'd rather rest my quads but the exercise will be a good stretch.
